This is the 2nd in a series of 3 webinars on using SPC. It will build on information presented in the introductory course - Getting Started: Using SPC.

Attribute charts are the simplest of statistical process control charts to build and interpret. Attribute charts track measure data that either does, or does not, posses a specific characteristic or attribute. Most commonly, they would be used in businesses to track a performance indicator results for the percentage of cases that did or did not comply with a policy, target, or threshold. Some examples of attribute data would include:

There are several important nuances to attribute data that require using different types of attribute charts that use different equations in their calculation. For example, suppose you are tracking missing data on purchase orders.You would one type of attribute chart if you were calculating the percentage of reports that had ANY missing data. A different type of attribute chart would be used if you were calculating the number of missing data elements (such that there could be more than one missing data element on a single purchase order). The webinar will explain the differences, show examples, and then provide you with tools and sample data to build and use an attribute chart on your own computer and apply in your own organization.

Because we will be using the award winning WebEx online meeting platform, you will be able to get help from the instructor - on your computer - and be able to watch the instructor's screen as examples are demonstrated. Virtual whiteboards, group web surfing and other online collaboration tools will also be used.
